June's issue of Devon Life features a two-page article about Starcross Yacht Club, written by columnist Kate Williams after a visit to the club at Easter. "It's all very flattering, if a bit gushing, but Kate got the essence of the club about right, " said Keith Wheatley, who hosted her visit.

Thanks to Nigel Hicks, whose magnificent photos should have been attributed by the magazine but sadly weren't .

Website membership

Prior to summer 2015, any person with an interest in Starcross Yacht Club could register on the SYC website. Since the SYC website was re-launched in summer 2015, new registrations have been limited to current SYC members only. Therefore, while it is expected that a large majority of users registered on the website will be SYC members, it is highlighted that not all current members of the SYC website are current members of SYC.

From 1 August 2017 access to the restricted areas of the website will be limited to Club members only and existing website registrations will be cancelled when Club membership lapses or is terminated.

Registering on the SYC website also gives access to the "forums" part of the website.

The decision of the current SYC Commodore will be final on what is an acceptable post to an SYC website forum.
