Dear Members, with the shingle seemingly returning on a regular basis recently over the winter months, the Sailing Committee feels it would be a good idea again to shift some of the said shingle. We have the Merlin Open meeting programmed for the first wknd in June and we feel it would be good for the club to ensure the slipway is clear for all those competing. It will of course also benefit the clubs programme and sailing members too and will certainly make life easier the safety boats crews when launching and recovering the boats.
It was agreed to meet at the club on May 18th at 10.30 for a couple of hours, with spade or shovel and wheelbarrow - if you have one . Refreshments will be available on the day with some cake of some description .
Please be reassured, your kind help and support will be universally appreciated by everyone!
With many thanks on behalf of the Sailing Committee and General Committee.
