Social Media Coordinator Wanted


Dear Members, the Sailing Committee has considered this month enhancing our use of social media to both promote and report on some of the clubs events, giving members who use social media, immediate news feeds concerning events at the club . Although the club does have platforms on social media sites, the Sailing Committee feels that we as a club, are not utilising them to the best effect .


The Sailing Committee is therefore looking to recruit someone who has knowledge and experience of using social media platforms, to take on a new role as the club’s social media coordinator. It is not anticipated that this role will require hours of work but merely to keep abreast of club the events and present and report on them as and when required . The position would be relaxed in nature, with absolutely no expectation or requirement for weekly accounts or news feeds but to focus essentially on the club’s main events, such as next years Exe Regatta . 

This position would involve liaising with the Vice Commodore or Sailing Secretary and equally, with us liaising with the social media coordinator, to ensure we get the right events publicised and covered to our sailing community and indeed, to a wider national audience .
