On the weekend of 26-27 October, SYC hosted 50 young sailors for the first of the 2024-25 season's SWYSA Winter Race Training events.
With visitors from ten clubs spread through the South West, the RS Tera and Topper Squads trained on Saturday, and RS Feva and ILCA Squads on Sunday. It was great to see so many boats out at the Club, and lots of new faces.
Sunday's sailors joined the club race in the afternoon, and it was fantastic to see sixteen junior boats on the start line, although sadly the dying wind and building tide meant not everyone was able to complete the course.
