I have just changed the dead battery on my fathers 20 year old Tacktick with relative ease and to the princely cost of roughly £10 (delivery of the battery was twice that of the battery). Anyways, just thought if any other members would like assistance or some pointers in changing theirs, please feel free to contact me and happy to help out. I currently have one spare battery going if anyone would like to give it a go (a steady hand, some wire and a soldering iron is all that is needed beyond the new battery). No warranty or guarantee of waterproofness, but mine seems pretty happy so far haha.
