How to operate the main gate at SYC (Easter 2026 update)
The main gate controls at SYC are being upgraded and will operate from Easter weekend 2026. The new controls work similarly to the old ones but allow more user flexibility and should also enable the gate to close more efficiently when an easterly wind is blowing through the tunnel.We shall shortly be uploading a video on this page describing the new gate features in detail (in preparation).
There will also be a short 'essentials' video (also in preparation - see QR code below) so that your smartphone can talk you through the gate-opening routine when you are stuck in the outside car park and longing to get on the water…
