The annual RNLI Pursuit and Rough and Tumble Trophy races were run at SYC on 13 October, entry fees going to the RNLI together with profits from a soup lunch. A visiting team from Teignmouth brought a range of RNLI merchandise for sale. Our visitors write:
“On behalf of the Teignmouth RNLI I would like to say a huge thank you to Starcross Yacht Club for inviting us along with a pop up shop to your racing event last Sunday 13 October.
The pop up shop made £438.00 and with your profits from the soup and entries for the regatta of £232.00 – making a grand total of £670.00.
Thank you to your team for making Mandy and myself so welcome and the generous supply of tea, cake and soup.
