Club members are invited to join a working party on Saturday 4 October to do some end-of-season tidying and maintenance on our beautiful riverside site. As always, work begins at 10am and finishes at lunchtime.
Working parties offer members the opportunity to make a voluntary contribution to the work of keeping the Club premises neat and tidy. All are welcome - many hands make light work.
The list below includes a range of jobs for all ages and abilities, but Graham Buxton-Smith would especially welcome a small team with the appropriate skills to carry out the work on the sea wall in preparation for inevitable winter storms.
- Spot repointing of sea wall - a stitch in time…
- Pothole-patching on the roadway to the car park - likewise.
- Litter-picking on site and foreshore areas.
- Shingle-shifting on slipway.
- Scraping seaweed off slipway areas.
- Sweeping gravel off the pathways.
- Cleaning the clubhouse windows.
We look forward to seeing you!
