The third SYC working party of 2026 will be on Saturday 27 June, from 10am until lunchtime. Main jobs to be tackled are to clear the slipway areas of shingle, to scrape seaweed off the very slippery slipway and foreshore areas, and to litter-pick across the site and foreshore. Low water just after 11am should give us a good window for foreshore access.
The Club is grateful to all the volunteers who set to work several times a year to keep our lovely riverside site tidy and keep the foreshore clear for safe launching of members' boats.
Please be aware that a one-way system will be in operation that weekend on the road to the Club owing to the concert at the Castle. It has been agreed with the concert organisers that our members will have access to SYC, but members must follow the one way systems in place, and need to approach the Club from the Red Lodge (Exeter) end of Estuary Road. SYC members will need to inform the marshals at the road junctions that they are going to the Yacht Club.
