SYC Web Cam

I have been unable to access the webcam for the past three or four days! Will it be back on line anytime soon?

Also having problems with this. Would be useful to know if it's a problem with the CAM or whether some software update means my browser needs tweeking

Don't worry - it's not your browser.

The problem is either the webcam, cable from the webcam to the webcam PC, the webcam PC or the video card in the webcam PC.

It is currently unclear who is going to do the investigations to determine where the fault lies (without breaking the weather station software that sits on the same PC in the race box).

Any news on when the webcam might come back on line?

Not yet.

I spent some time at SYC on Friday looking for the most obvious possible causes. Unfortunately, the cause of the problem turned out not to be completely obvious so that was me stumped.

We're hopefully changing - a little - who within SYC leads on supporting the webcam so please bear with us for a while. There's no estimated date yet for when it will be back online (we need to have identified the root cause of the problem first) but the problem isn't being totally ignored.
