Colin Tucker

It is with deep regret and much sadness that I have to report that Colin Tucker, a long-time and honorary member of our club, has recently passed away after a short illness . Colin and Ron Littlejohn were part of the strong Seafly class that raced at the club during the seventies and eighties sailing Seafly 617 ( see attached picture taken in June 2009 ) . Colin and his son Glyn have been supporting the club for many years, especially with kindly printing much of the club’s documents etc, to which we were and are forever grateful to them . I am sure I can speak for all those who knew Colin, in extending our deepest and heartfelt sympathies to his wife, Glyn and wider family during this very sad and difficult time for them . 

I'd just like to add that Colin was the first person to say hello to me when I joined the club.  He joined Starcross YC in 1959 - and was a member for 61 years.

It is indeed sad, Colin was going to be 90 years old during September.

The funeral for Colin will take place on Monday 14th September.
There will be no space for anyone to attend from the Club as the numbers are very limited due to COVID-19 regulations.
Colin was a member of Starcross Yacht Club for 61 years and the Club Burgee will be flown at the Club on the 14th September.

Sincere condolences to Colin’s family. My thoughts are with them.
