Between Saturday and Sunday afternoon, someone attached a combination padlock to the main gate which effectively locked Members in or out of the Club site. Whether this was done in jest or was a deliberate malevalent act, we do not know. It could have had unfortunate consequencies especially to Cruiser members coming ashore or wanting to board their boats.Fortunately the group that turned up early for racing were able to gain entry and the matter was dealt with swiftly.
If anyone can shed light on this incident, I would like to know about it.

If it helps we left the club at around 8:30pm and just shut it with the normal lock

Hi Ian,
I went down to the club at about 2pm on Sunday and the gate was locked with the combination lock then - I assumed I had missed an email about new security.
