I am sad to report the passing of Alan Wood.
His wife, Liz, called today to let me know that he suffered a fatal heart attack yesterday 27th November.
When I have details of the funeral arrangements I will post them here.

I'm really sad to hear that John.
Alan was a real advocate for the club with the RYA and I had many meetings with him when I was Commodore.
My sympathies to Liz and his family.

Very sorry to hear this news. I took over from Alan Wood as General Secretary and he had a wealth of knowledge which was so helpful.
My thoughts are with Liz at this very sad time.

Liz has contacted me to say that the funeral will be at Exeter Crem on Wed 21st December at 1230hrs.

I am very sad to hear about Alan as well. I was one of his students on a couple of the RYA courses he ran and found him to be an excellent teacher and a charming man. My thoughts are with Liz and family.
