Starcross Steamer Drone Footage

I'm a cruiser sailor but was happy to fly my drone and take some footage of the Steamer on Sunday last. I'm also new to drone flying and still learning the flying, photography and editing. I hope you enjoy this, especially if you were able to be in the race on Sunday and can see yourself in good light on the water!

Would be interesting to see how useful a drone would be in helping finish a Pursuit Race.  It would need to fly just above mast height to get sail numbers and would probably need the 'aviator' to be in the RIB.

Each year the RIBs record 95% of the finishers OK - but there is always a handful of 'missing' boats - not on finish lists or retirement lists.  it take an inordinate amount of time to track down those boats.

Perhaps something to try at the next club pursuit race

Thanks Paul - the tempo of the music seemed right and even some of the lyrics! I'm happy to do some more at some stage though I'm also hoping to be away cruising for a fair few weeks in the summer!

In principle flying the drone from a rib should be easier than from a cruising yacht with its mast, boom and shrouds! I might need to run a trial to see how it would work bringing the drone safely back on board!
