After the Regionals in Torquay last weekend, our Topper is in need of some repairs and is shipping some water in to the hull. The first step is to get some pressure in the hull and see if we can find the obvious leaks.
Has anyone been through that process and created an adaptor for the bung hole. If so, could I please borrow it? Happy to offer a drink in return!
HI Martin, Firstly check the self baler. Owners have a habit of dragging it on to the launch trolley with the item open. If you do this the baler will be damaged irreversibly by catching on the trolley.
If this is OK then check other places that water might ingress that is where there are fittings screwed to the hull. rudder, daggerboard, mast slot.
Finally and you hope that is not the case, make sure that the top of the boat is firmly fixed to the hull. If there is a gap then the boat is probably u/s. John
