Trophy Information

Hi 
Simon has put a tremendous amount of work into allocating our trophies to events and achievements.  With Ian Purvis he also established the fantastic display cabinet we now have. All of the information relating to the trophies has been put into a database.  To make this information more accessible, my son Rob has put together an application to allow members to view information on the trophies and their winners - you can find it at the bottom of the Sailing menu.  The scaling to phone screens is a little clunky but we'll try and fix that soon.

At the moment we have trophy winner data for the last couple years - but raceManager has data going back to 2011 so I will try  and add more historical information when I have time to wade through all the data we have collected.  It would be great if we could find an archive of old newsletters to see if we could go further back.  I would also like to be able to add information on past national, european and world champions from SYC.

Finally, we have historical notes on some of the club's trophies, but we are missing details on donor, date donated and origin of the trophy name/history for most of them.  If you have any relevant information, please post it on the forum or give it to  Simon or myself and we will make sure it is included in the database.  It would be nice to think we could have a full historical record in time for our 300 year celebration.
