David Clayton - Sad News

It is with great sadness that I inform members that David Clayton died early last week.

David was a keen Dart and Hurricane sailor for many years at SYC and had a reputation for fast boats and cars, he was never put off by any weather conditions.  Sadly, David has suffered poor health for a long time, so it has been quite a few years since he has been down at SYC.  Sailing and SYC was a massive part of David's life.  He and Nigel Howe were great pals for 40 years and his family want David’s ashes to join Nigel’s in the Exe at SYC.
 
There will not be a funeral, there will be a celebration of life in the garden at home just down the road from SYC and anyone who knew David will be very welcome.  The date is yet to be arranged.
