Are you old enough or young enough?

The club needs to collect age information for members who race so that it is easier for us to work out who has won the age-related trophies.  We don't want a full date of birth just your birth year.  I have managed to scrape this information from our membership system for ~90% of members - but not everyone provided that information as part of their membership application.  To collect these data for the remaining ~10% of members we are going to offer you the chance to add your birth year data when signing on to race.

The way it will work (starting next weekend)

• If you attempt to sign on a boat which has no information for  the helm's year of birth a form will pop up to give you a chance to enter this information.
• You can either enter your year of birth (e.g. 1956) or 9999 if you would prefer that SYC doesn't have this information.  If you choose to enter 9999 you will not be considered for the age related prize categories.  Click the orange Change Details button to submit your response - then click the Continue button to return to the start screen.
• Now enter your sail number again and enter the race in the normal way.

You will only have to provide this information once and then the signon system will work just as it did before.
